About Atiz scanners

Elaboro is a direct importer and authorized distributor of ATIZ book scanning solutions.

Innovative solutions by ATIZ are used to quickly scan books and save them in electronic form. The technology used is both the fastest and the cheapest on the market. The cost of fully launching the entire digitalization platform for library resources is several times lower than the competition’s solutions. In addition, what is important, books are scanned in the “V” technology, which allows for much higher quality than traditional flatbed scanners, but also ensures high security of the scanned materials.

The V-shaped BookDrive provides much better security for old and fragile books than conventional 180° flatbed scanners. Scanning takes place without using force to unfold the book.

Atiz scanners are very simple and cheap to operate, and what is very important: all spare parts (and there are really few of them) are cheap and available in Poland. The construction of the Atiz scanner is modular, which greatly speeds up and facilitates repairs and service.

Repair of e.g. cameras can take place in many operating services in Poland. Importantly, unlike the competition, we do not require signing long-term warranty contracts, and the competition’s solutions in the event of any fault or configuration change require the manufacturer’s service … very expensive service.

Servicing and maintaining the ATIZ BookDrive solution in production is by far the cheapest. What’s more, the warranty offered is also the longest on the market.

Atiz scanners are certainly not mobile scanners in the true sense of the word, but they can be easily disassembled and reassembled without the use of specialized tools, all connections are based on thumbscrews, so a skilled technician can assemble and disassemble Atiz scanners in less than an hour.

The scanners are delivered in Styrofoam “cases”, so when unfolded they can be safely transported.

Atiz BookDrive is basically not a scanner, but, as the manufacturer put it, a ripper of books into digital format. Atiz BookDrive is, in fact, a specially constructed stand on which you can place a book and conveniently copy its contents page by page. The copying speed is a maximum of approx. 500 pages per hour in the mini scanner, and 700 pages in the PRO version.

Atiz Bookdrive works with Canon and Sony cameras.

The software included with BookDrive is very interesting – it automates and simplifies many activities during scanning. Can properly crop, improve brightness and contrast, generate a single PDF file with the entire book (also supports TIFFs).

The scanning process is as follows: two cameras are mounted to BookDrive – one of them photographs even pages, the other – odd pages. Both are also connected to the computer via USB, and it is the computer that controls the cameras (releases the shutter) – the human’s tasks include placing the book in the “V”-shaped recess and installing a special pressing frame. After each photo, we lift the frame and put the paper over. The process itself is very fast and allows for smooth operation, which allows for very high scanning speeds. At the same time, maintaining the safety of scanned materials (books open up to 120 degrees).
